Underground Conduit & Utility Installation

Complete underground pathways installed and documented — from duct systems and fiber routes through vaults, tie-ins and the as-built information your project has to hand forward at closeout.

OVERVIEW

04 / CONDUIT

The pathway is the deliverable.

A bore or a trench is a means to an end. What the project actually needs is a continuous, correctly built, properly documented underground pathway that the next trade can work in.

Conduit and utility installation is where the pieces come together: duct placed to the right alignment, depth and separation, structures set where the design puts them, product pulled through cleanly, everything tied in and recorded. Done well, nobody thinks about it again. Done badly, it surfaces months later as a blocked duct, a mislocated vault or an as-built nobody can rely on.

We install underground pathways for telecom and fiber routes, power and utility infrastructure and municipal systems — using whichever installation method the site calls for, because we run both directional drilling and open cut ourselves rather than subbing one of them out.

That matters most at the joints between methods. The place a schedule usually slips is the handoff between the boring contractor, the trenching contractor and whoever is setting structures. Under one contract, those handoffs stop being scheduling risk.

SCOPE OF WORK

What goes into
the ground.

From single-duct runs to multi-way systems with structures, tie-ins and documentation.

01

Conduit & Duct Systems

Single and multi-way duct runs installed to the specified alignment, depth and separation, with pull strings or tape as required.

02

Fiber Pathway Construction

Underground routes built for fiber, including duct preparation, proofing and coordinated placement support for telecom construction.

03

Vaults, Handholes & Structures

Excavation, setting and backfill of underground structures, positioned and finished to grade so they are usable and accessible.

04

HDPE Fusion & Jointing

Continuous, sealed pathways using fusion tooling appropriate to the material and size being installed.

05

Tie-Ins & Terminations

Connecting new pathway into existing infrastructure with controlled exposure at the connection point.

06

As-Built Documentation

Recorded locations, depths and route information, captured as the work happens rather than reconstructed afterward.

HOW WE WORK

Route, install,
document.

The order matters. Documentation is not a closeout task we get to if there is time — it is captured as the pathway goes in.

STAGE 01

Route & Verify

The alignment is walked and the conflicts along it identified, with existing utilities exposed where the design runs close to them. Method is selected span by span — bored where boring makes sense, trenched where it does not.

STAGE 02

Install

Duct and product are placed to line, grade and separation, structures are set, and joints are made to suit the material. Pathways are proved so the next trade is not the one to discover a blockage.

STAGE 03

Document & Close Out

Locations, depths and route information are recorded, surfaces restored and the scope handed back with the documentation the owner or prime actually needs to keep.

BIDDING THE PATHWAY

What to include
with the scope.

Conduit scopes vary enormously with configuration and structure count. This is the information that lets us price the whole pathway rather than just the linear footage.

01

Plans or route drawings, with alignment and total length

02

Duct configuration — number of ways, size and material

03

Structure schedule: vaults, handholes, quantities and types

04

Required depth, separation and any cover specification

05

Tie-in points and what they connect into

06

Documentation and as-built requirements at closeout

Have a conduit package that needs one contractor start to finish?

Send the route drawings and structure schedule. We will price the pathway complete — installation, structures, tie-ins and documentation.
