Directional Drilling
Trenchless installation for crossings beneath roadways, railways, waterways, developed sites and existing structures — with less surface disruption, less restoration and fewer impacts to the work going on above.
WHAT WE DO
Four core services, run by our own crews and equipment — so the boring, the digging, the utility verification and the pathway installation all sit under one contract instead of four.
OVERVIEW
SERVICES
Mid Atlantic Underground supports telecom, utility, municipal and commercial projects across Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic as a subcontractor built for production.
Most underground scopes need more than one method. A route gets bored under the road, trenched across the open ground, daylighted at every crossing, then tied into existing infrastructure at both ends. Split across separate subcontractors, each of those transitions is a scheduling risk and a place for responsibility to get blurry.
We run all four in-house. That means the method gets chosen span by span on what actually suits the site — not on which piece of equipment happens to be the only one available.
CORE SERVICES
Each one is delivered by our own crews, with the supporting field work — daylighting, bore support, restoration and documentation — included rather than subcontracted out.
Trenchless installation for crossings beneath roadways, railways, waterways, developed sites and existing structures — with less surface disruption, less restoration and fewer impacts to the work going on above.
Controlled, non-destructive excavation around buried infrastructure using pressurized water and vacuum recovery — safer exposure, better information, and a far smaller footprint than digging blind with steel.
Production-focused trenching for the stretches where open cut is genuinely the right method — planned around utilities, access, ground conditions, traffic and restoration from the first day rather than the last.
Complete underground pathways installed and documented — from duct systems and fiber routes through vaults, tie-ins and the as-built information your project has to hand forward at closeout.
INCLUDED FIELD SUPPORT
These are not separate service lines you have to price and schedule. They are how the four core services get delivered.
Controlled exposure to verify depth, alignment and actual field conditions before drilling or trenching begins.
Entry and exit pits, drilling fluid management and the field support that keeps a bore on line and on schedule.
Backfill, compaction and surface restoration coordinated so the site is returned in the condition the project requires.
Daily reporting, as-built information and closeout documentation that primes and owners can hand forward.
Send the plans and the bid date. We will tell you what fits the site — including when the honest answer is the cheaper method.
